“A sweet friendship refreshes the soul” ~ Proverbs 27:9
NEW ORLEANS | 2016
In 2016, friends Elaine and Betty breezed by St Augustine on their way back from a Panama Canal cruise. They had a plan. “Let’s take a road trip to New Orleans and see CJ.” The four of us met in the early 1980s in the California hi-desert communities of the Morongo Basin. All of us were involved in emergency first response, spread across a wide spectrum of police, fire, and medical.
So, here we are, 36 years later, flying across the panhandle of Florida, across the wide Mississippi, and taking up residence in the French Quarter. What a time we had! Walking, talking, eating oysters on the half shell, and laughing to tears! Pictures are worth a thousand words, so I’ll spare you the words and let you in on our epic reunion!
