A BLARNEY CASTLE TRADITION

In 1975, my 70-year old grandmother, Lois Baughman Yerkes, traveled to Ireland to kiss the Blarney Stone. I thought, what a great way to celebrate my 70th birthday! Unfortunately, the health crisis of 2020 rearranged my initial plans. However, when travel restrictions lifted, I booked a flight and hopped the pond to Co. Cork, Ireland, where I  kissed the stone on August 16th, 2022 - the last day I was 70! So, here’s my Grams, a grand lady and my inspiration!

And here I am, kissing the Blarney Stone and acquiring the gift of gab —- as if I needed help.
