Baggywrinkle is a soft covering of “yarn” made from single ply rope attached to a marline with a sennit knot and wrapped around the ships standing rigging to reduce sail chafe. If not for the baggywrinkle, sails would wear holes at points of contact. What is the baggywrinkle on your rigging as you navigate the sea of life?
